Demopost for indie app launches: a week of posts from one recording
For a launch week you need the same thing on three platforms: a LinkedIn post a day, a Reddit post written for each subreddit's rules, and two or three short videos. Demopost makes all three from one screen recording of your app, costs credits only for what it writes, and never posts for you, so a launch week is about 15 credits and an evening of copying and pasting.
The launch-week kit
| Day | What goes out | Made from | Credits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Before | One 60 to 90 second recording of the app, uploaded and described | Your phone | 1 |
| Day 1 | Reddit post in the subreddit where your users already are, with the link in the first comment | Your own context paragraph | 1 |
| Days 1 to 5 | One LinkedIn post with its card per day | Five screens | 5 |
| Day 3 | Second Reddit post in a self-promotion-friendly community | Same context, adapted | 1 |
| Days 2, 4, 6 | Three reels or shorts from the scripts, recorded with any voice | One batch of scripts | 2 |
Ten credits are free on sign-up; the Top-up 100 pack covers several launches and never expires.
Why one recording is enough
Every platform wants the same raw material, your product doing its job, in a different shape. A screen becomes a LinkedIn card with a headline. The same screens, in order, become the footage list for a reel script. A Reddit post does not use the screens at all; it grows from a paragraph you write about why you built the thing and what you want to ask, because Reddit readers can tell marketing from a maker in one sentence.
What stays honest on launch day
Launch posts fail when they overclaim. Demopost writes only what each screen's description says, names that screen under the post, and refuses to add users, numbers or results you did not supply. A Reddit draft that states a number your context did not state is rejected and refunded. You can still say anything you like by editing the text; the tool just will not say it for you.
Order of work for the evening before
- Register the product: name, one paragraph about it, the link, a hashtag line.
- Upload the recording, read the descriptions, fix any that are vague.
- Reddit tab: ask for subreddit suggestions, pick two, write your context in your own words, write both posts. Read the rules checklist each draft comes with.
- LinkedIn tab: tick five screens, write. Save the five cards.
- Reels tab: write three scripts. Each lists the screens to show in order, so the edit is a cut, not a creative job.
- Mark each piece posted as you go through the week, with its URL, so you can see what is left.
